1968, Just-A-Start Corporation (JAS) has been enabling working and
retired families in Cambridge and surrounding Metro North communities
to meet basic family needs. JAS provides services to homeowners
and renters to help increase their quality of living; offers education
and workforce training opportunities that enhance career prospects and
earning power; and develops, rehabilitates and preserves sorely needed,
affordable rental and ownership housing. Just-A-Start works with
individuals, families and groups in addressing these needs and enables
people to participate fully in the life of their community. |

On June 7, at the Just A Start Annual Meeting, Gordon Gottsche, founder and Executive Director of Just A Start for more than 40 years, announced his intent to retire this year.
The Board of Directors expressed its deep appreciation for his seminal and lasting contributions to the organization and to the City of Cambridge and surrounding communities during his many years of dedicated and inspired service.
