Career Connection

Creating Future Leaders of Tomorrow

Career Connection is a year-round program that transitions from academic support to career assistance. The program provides support to 15 low-income, academically challenged at-risk students. The aim of the program is to provide academic support activities: school-to-career connection activities including access to after-school jobs; and a support system, including mentors, to assist students in identifying and addressing life skill needs, help them to access resources, and gain competencies needed for school and life. The school year component consists of three 2-hour after-school meetings per week. The summer component is operated in conjunction with the Just-A-Start Summer Program. The program typically operates at the Cambridge Rindge & Latin School (CRLS).

Eligibility requirements: Cambridge youth entering 9th-12th grade at CRLS who meet income eligibility requirements (or have a disability) and have a barrier to learning.
